Pennsylvania Women’s Agricultural Network presents Pastured Lamb Production Workshop
HARRISBURG
-- Learn how farmers John & Sukey Jamison produce 5,000 lambs a year on their 210-acre farm. The Pennsylvania Women’s Agricultural Network will present Pastured Lamb Production Workshop on May 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Jamisons offer on-site butchering and sell to some of the finest restaurants in the world. Sukey, a talented chef, prepares and sells value-added products such as lamb stew.

Workshop participants will tour the farm including paddocks for grazing, barns and handling facilities, and processing plant and warehouse. Sukey and John will discuss maintaining pastures, working the sheep with border collies, developing proper handling facilities, and marketing lamb.
